Touch typing practice for beginners
Start with F and J for the index fingers, then D/K, S/L and A/;. Follow the highlighted key and finger guide. Finish the home row before upper/lower rows, digits and punctuation. Repeat a difficult lesson before returning to a timed test; compare attempts with the same text and duration.
What you can practise
Pass a course lesson with at least 90% accuracy and any stated speed target. 95% earns two stars; 98% earns three. Retrying preserves the best achievement.

English and other alphabetic languages use WPM: five correct characters equal one word. Chinese, Japanese and Korean use correct characters per minute. Accuracy includes mistakes you later correct. Spaces and punctuation must match.

Do punctuation, spaces and corrected mistakes count?
Match the source punctuation and spaces exactly. Corrections do not erase earlier error attempts from accuracy. Chinese input-method pre-edit text is not scored until committed.
