Results stay in this browser. While signed in, new results can also be saved to your TestMio account. Old local history and practice text are not uploaded. Synced scores are self-reported, with no verified global ranking. Multiplayer sends your guest name and shared-passage input to the room server and shares derived progress and scores with participants.
Typing questions
Do I need an account to practise typing?
No account or app installation is required. Open a test, course or game in your browser. A network connection is needed for multiplayer.
How is typing speed measured?
English and other alphabetic languages use WPM: five correct characters equal one word. Chinese, Japanese and Korean use correct characters per minute. Accuracy includes mistakes you later correct. Spaces and punctuation must match.
Do punctuation, spaces and corrected mistakes count?
Match the source punctuation and spaces exactly. Corrections do not erase earlier error attempts from accuracy. Chinese input-method pre-edit text is not scored until committed.
