What you can practise
There are 11 course categories and 200 built-in lessons: home-row touch typing, Chinese and English, word recall, code, number pad, Xiaohe Shuangpin, Wubi 86, IELTS input and Chinese transcription. You can also create local custom lessons. Progress, stars and favourites stay in this browser.
Pass a course lesson with at least 90% accuracy and any stated speed target. 95% earns two stars; 98% earns three. Retrying preserves the best achievement.

How typing results are calculated
English and other alphabetic languages use WPM: five correct characters equal one word. Chinese, Japanese and Korean use correct characters per minute. Accuracy includes mistakes you later correct. Spaces and punctuation must match.

Do I need an account to practise typing?
No account or app installation is required. Open a test, course or game in your browser. A network connection is needed for multiplayer.
How is typing speed measured?
English and other alphabetic languages use WPM: five correct characters equal one word. Chinese, Japanese and Korean use correct characters per minute. Accuracy includes mistakes you later correct. Spaces and punctuation must match.
Do punctuation, spaces and corrected mistakes count?
Match the source punctuation and spaces exactly. Corrections do not erase earlier error attempts from accuracy. Chinese input-method pre-edit text is not scored until committed.
